South Uist Late Viking Period Belt Buckle

This pewter reproduction is of a belt buckle found on the island of South Uist, off the west coast of Scotland. The Viking period in Scotland extends beyond 1066 and finally come to a close in 1263, after the battle of Largs. The buckle is dated to somewhere in the 10th and 11th centuries and will fit a belt 1 inch wide.
