Hand Made, Cast Pewter Viking, Anglo Saxon and Anglo Scandinavian Belt Fittings
All the items below are reproductions of archaeological finds. The designs are re-created by us as accurately as possible, paying close attention to detail, and the size of the originals where possible. All our pewter belt fittings are cast by us at our workshop on the Isle of Skye.

York Borre Style Strap End
A copy of a 10th century Viking find from St Mary Bishophill Senior in York. The design is in the Borre style, and the rounded end is characteristic of finds from the 10th century.

Isle of Skye Strap End
Based on a find from Ashaig, Isle of Skye. The style is common on the western sea board of the U.K. The original was found with a hole and concentric cricles, which we have interprited with the addition of the domed rivet.

Vine Scroll Strap End
Dating to the tenth century, this strap end was actually found in Coppergate, York; thus indicating that a fair amount of trade went on between the Viking and Saxon kingdoms of the time.
