This pewter brooch is based on one from the St. Ninians Isle hoard from Scotland.
The originals were of silver, but they were of a low level of purity. This means that modern day pewter is a good substitute.

A brooch based on a find from the St. Ninian's Isle hoard. Like the original, the pin is inset with a glass cabachon, each terminal countains 4 more and a final one is in the centre of the brooch itself.
